Friday 4th May 2018- from 7.30 to 9.00 p.m.
In collaboration with internationally renowned, London based Flamenco dancer and performer Lourdes Fernandez, we are bringing to you, La “Feria de Abril”, a wonderful event taking place in Seville two weeks after Easter. Each April, the city shrugs off Lent with an explosive week-long fiesta where no one can remain a spectator for long. What began in the mid-19th century as a cattle fair has developed over the years into a spectacular six-day extravaganza, when the entire city devotes itself to the pursuit of music and dance 24 hours a day. La Feria gathers every year more than 1,000 striped “casetas” (party tents), endless strings of multicoloured paper lanterns and brilliant lights amid a cacophony of passionate “Sevillanas”.
What to expect from the night:
- Live Flamenco Performance: Sit back and enjoy a spectacular live performance with some of Spain’s most exciting artists.
- Before the end of the evening everyone would be welcome (not compulsory) to join in a Sevillanas party. This is a great opportunity to learn the few steps and have lots of fun.
